Aljunied’s transformation into an education hub will attract families

Think “good schools in Singapore” and places like Bukit Timah and Marine Parade might come to mind.

What you may not realise, however, is that these traditional education hubs in Singapore have welcomed a new precinct among their ranks: Aljunied.

Surprised? We don’t blame you. Aljunied is undergoing a transformation and has been quietly amassing elite local and international schools in recent years, with plenty more in the works.

The fast-growing James Cook University (JCU) from Australia, has also just moved to a new campus located at Sims Drive to accommodate its present student population of 3,500. James Cook University is recognised as a full branch by its Australia counterpart, and won the coveted Edutrust Star, the highest quality mark that a private education institution can receive in Singapore.

Universities such as Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore Management University (SMU), and School of the Arts Singapore (SOTA) are also all easily accessible from Aljunied.
