Supermama, #02-13

You will not find typical — and boring — Singaporean souvenirs such as T-shirts with emblems of the Merlion and postcards of Singapore’s gorgeous skyline here.

The home-grown gallery shop produces meaningful souvenirs inspired by Singapore-based cultural artefacts and everyday objects, such as calendars modelled after Singapore’s iconic playgrounds and Orchard Kebaya cushions reminiscent of the Singapore Airlines Stewardesses’ distinctive uniform. It believes in enabling everyone to own a piece of the Singaporean heritage.

It has also teamed up with expert craftsmen from Japan to launch KOBO, a contemporary crafts brand, reinventing household essentials that bear both the “Made in Japan” and “Made in Singapore” stamps of quality.
